Bryan Stevenson’s nationally-recognized organization needed a new website. After revising the design, shop, and mission statement, we earned a 2020 Webby for Best Nonprofit website. Under my leadership, we also grew from 78k to 483k followers in less than two years.

Google Arts and Culture uploaded thousands of never-before-seen art pieces by Black artists. I crafted a multi-video campaign with Angela Rye, Yara Shahidi, and Nas. Each of them presented a spoken piece of artists that inspire them. This campaign had 1.5M organic views and over 50,000 visits to the Google Arts and Culture site.

As Communications Director, our team has handled over 30 high-level campaigns and garnered 1.2 million organic views on Instagram reels in two years (compared to less than 20k before my tenure), We have garnered coverage from The Guardian, Washington Post, and NBC News for our statewide and SCOTUS-level cases.

Alabama’s only Black and trans-led healthcare organization needed a website that communicated their work. I was entrusted to plan, design, and publish their pages all while making sure their entire staff felt good about the procees.

Bryan Stevenson of the Equal Justice Initiative needed support to digitize its important report surrounding America’s history of racial injustice. The campaign and website resulted in 47 million video views, an appearance on Trevor Noah, and a summer exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum with 31,000 visitors.

I led the strategy and communications for the opening of Google’s first-ever community space for nonprofits. 510 nonprofits registered (original goal was 100) to utilize the space, free of charge, in the first year of operation. Our opening night included Zendaya as a special guest.

Bryan Stevenson’s acclaimed book needed a website ahead of its cinematic release. Alongside MADEO agency, I established a strong narrative with Bryan and the actors, achieving 200,000 organic visits within the first three months.

We built a campaign called: #ShowUp to promote Google Maps in moments that matter. By entering a zip code, you could find the nearest marches and LGBTQ+ nonprofits to support. This won a 2018 Webby and saw 140 unpaid posts by influencers totaling 150 million followers.
